Speaking at the Kayseri International Fair and Congress Center Second Hall Signing Ceremony at Kayseri Organized Industrial Zone Directorate, Chairman of the Board of Directors Tahir Nursaçan said that they completed the road map very well and thanked everyone who contributed. Chairman Nursaçan; “Before our management took office, we said ‘The fair issue is a matter of honor for us’. We are one of the distinguished organized industrial zones of Kayseri and our country.
As soon as our management took office, we started to work for the fair, we determined our land. As a result of the negotiations, it was determined that the need for a fair was essential for Kayseri OIZ with the feasibility of ORAN. We started the construction of the first work with our own means, then we said, “We will ask for support from our government”. We submitted our request to ORAN Development Agency, and the Development Agency forwarded our request to the Ministry of Development. The Ministry of Development concluded that our project was sufficient and that it was appropriate to be supported. You have to follow a road map, and we have completed that road map in a very good way. We would like to thank my own board of directors and my valuable managers in the OIZ directorate, as well as all our business partners who contributed to the ORAN Development Agency.”
Noting that they will organize at least 8 fairs in Kayseri International Fair and Congress Center and that they will be instrumental in attracting around 1 and a half million visitors to the city in these organizations, President Nursaçan said; “Kayseri constitutes one of the distinguished production centers of Central Anatolia. We believe that we will organize at least 8 fairs here. In these organizations, God willing, around 1 and a half million visitors will come to our city, and the products produced in Kayseri Organized Industrial Zone will be instrumental in finding what they deserve in the world markets.”
Metin Kaya, the President of the contractor company that won the tender, stated that they will conclude in the best way and said; “God willing, we will be worthy of you. I undertake that we will finish as soon as possible when we start here, God willing, no one has any doubts. I hope we will go to the result in the best way.” After the speeches, the signing ceremony was held. In the statement made by Kayseri Organized Industrial Zone; ”With the construction work of the Fair and Congress Center, which will be built with the support of the Central Anatolia Development Agency Guided Project, in addition to the 18 thousand square meters of indoor space, 12 thousand square meters of second stage fair hall construction and landscaping will be made. Thus, when the project is completed, the total indoor area of the fair and congress center will reach 30 thousand square meters.
Kayseri Fair and Congress Center Project will serve the goals and priorities determined in accordance with the TR72 Region's vision of “accessible Central Anatolia that can compete at national and international level, has developed human and social capital, has transformed its potentials into value, has increased the quality of life by improving its urban and social infrastructure”. The fact that the fair investment will have a regional structure first and an international structure in the following years will support the exports of the region. It will be easier for small companies that cannot open up to international markets due to inadequacies in marketing channels to participate in fairs, and the competitiveness of enterprises will increase.
Existing exporters will be supported to introduce their products to world markets and find new target markets. “Domestic Fair Organizing Authority Certificate” has been obtained for the International Fair and Congress Center, which is under construction and whose second phase will start, and the regional economic and social structure necessary for the realization of the fair program, which aims to organize 10 fairs a year after the facility is put into service, is available.”
